Here at WRUK we recently signed up to a new social network specially designed for watch lovers called WatchCrunch.

WatchCrunch: A Social Network for Watch Enthusiasts

Fed up of forums? Flustered by Facebook groups? Or just looking for another outlet to talk watches with like-minded people? We think WatchCrunch might be just what you have been waiting for.

If you use Facebook or similar sites then WatchCrunch will be a cinch for you to get to grips with. You see a feed from users, with questions and news and reviews all contributed by members. There are specific post types for media (videos and images) and also for reviews, which is a nice touch. We’ve posted quite a few of WRUK’s past reviews on there. Although rather US-centric at present, there are already quite a lot of engaged users and the atmosphere is much less combative than some of the other fora we’ve used.

Max, one of the site’s co-founders and the driving force behind the platform says: “WatchCrunch was started by a group of watch nerds that were unsatisfied with the experience they’ve collectively been getting on the various watch forums that are out there. The hostility, snarkiness and outdated platforms were simply not fun to use.

“Additionally, the big tech platforms such as instagram were overwhelmed by flex culture, RMs APs and Rolex seem to be the only brands getting any attention and those were simply not the watches that most people have.

“The idea was to create a fun, friendly community of watch nerds with no snarkiness and bad vibes. A place where you can talk about Vostok, Zodiac and Islander watches just as much as you can talk about Rolex and AP. A home for true watch lovers.”

We think that they’ve pretty much achieved their aims, and we are regular visitors to WatchCrunch along with our other social media profiles and our British Watches Facebook group.
